About Me.
I’m a writer for readers. Whether it’s a book, an article, or a seven word headline on a dimly lit billboard next to a freeway onramp that’s been under construction since 2002, I will reward you with words for giving me your time. I include conceptual extra credit in my books so they’re thoughtful and useful. I dig deep during interviews because you’ve entrusted me with your curiosity. The ads I write make you smile because meaningful connection feels human and good.
My career began as Copywriter in San Francisco. I worked with (and learned from) many talented directors, actors and producers. I wrote award-winning campaigns for clients like Macy’s, Dreyfus Funds, Ore-Ida, and the San Francisco Opera. I created strategies that successfully launched and grew new brands.
These days, there is nothing I love more than writing books. I’m an author for Penguin Random House, and Hachette. Often, I have the pleasure of working alongside my favorite Art Director and Illustrator, my husband. Together, we founded a children’s apparel brand that shifted the tone of the industry by making it fun. Our work has been featured on shows like Late Night with David Letterman, The Simpsons, Kelly and Regis, and Today show, as well as in magazines like People, Parents, Newsweek and Time.
