I try to be a reader’s writer. Whether it’s a book, a magazine article, or a billboard next to a congested freeway on-ramp, I love to reward people with words for giving me their time.

My books include conceptual extras to make them more useful. My interview questions stem from a genuine sense of curiosity I think most people share. My ads don’t shy away from emotional connection. Somewhere in my footnotes, you’ll find a joke hiding in there.

I began my career as a Copywriter in San Francisco. I learned from talented creatives, producers, account executives, and actors, that nobody makes anything alone. We created fun campaigns for clients like Macy’s, Dreyfus, Ore-Ida, and the SF Opera. We developed strategies that grew brands of all sizes. My headlines sold countless juices, Alaska cruises, and Scandinavian couches.

The thing I love most these days, is authoring books. I've been published by Penguin Random House,Running Press and Hachette. I often get to work alongside my favorite Art Director and Illustrator. Fun fact: together we co-founded a baby gift and apparel company that shifted the tone of the industry. ( It’s now a heck of a lot more fun.)
